Christian Prayer Ministry Counseling

Our Counselors

Richard and Nancy have been counseling people for over 20 years each.  They have worked with people from many backgrounds and in many situations.  They  counsel with people individually in their Peachtree City, GA location. They also meet with many clients over the phone, a choice busy people are choosing, saving both time and travel as well as making it possible for people all over the world to receive counseling regardless of their location. The choice of how to meet is up to you.

Q: What is Phone Counseling?

Telephone counseling is a specialty. We have developed spiritual sensitivity over many years that makes this a very effective way for us to counsel as well as saving time, travel and money. We are also available for face-to-face meetings at our Conyers locations or a combination of both. We’d like to meet you and speak to you. Call for a free 30 minute evaluation appointment. Call 770-629-6990 for Richard and 678-516-2568 for Nancy.

Q: Why Phone Counseling?

Telephone counseling may be appropriate for people who are looking for a counselor with a specific expertise that they cannot find in their area. Additionally some areas of the country are very limited in Christian counselors and by providing telephone counseling as a service, this makes Christian counseling more accessible. Because entering into a counseling relationship is often a very courageous step for people, telephone counseling can make it easier to take that step. Let the Holy Spirit guide you.

Some of the following may also be benefits for you:

  • Convenient because you don’t have to travel or take time off from work.
  • Comfortable because you are in the privacy and convenience of your own home, office or car
  • Anonymity, therefore it may be easier for you to open up and trust more which may aid in accomplishing more in a shorter period of time.

You may be more comfortable/trusting with a counselor who is physically present and we do offer one-on-one counseling in our Conyers location. If you live in the Atlanta area you have the option of meeting with us in person.

This type of Christian counseling is not appropriate for clients who are suicidal/homicidal, in some crises or in need of medication. Our counseling is not generally reimbursable by your insurance.

Q: How long will Counseling last?

Most people who enter into a counseling relationship wonder “How long will I have to be in counseling.” First of all, counseling is voluntary and you have the right to terminate at any time. However, the pace and duration of counseling largely is determined by you and what you want to accomplish and how much effort you are willing to put into accomplishing your goals.

We recommend that clients meet with us on a weekly basis though it is also possible to meet on a bi-weekly basis. We also offer on going spiritual mentoring as well as the possibility of an occasional “tune-up” appointment after initial counseling is accomplished.  Depending on the individual/couples goals and objectives, this process can take from a few months to a year or more. The average length of time is around 12 months. Again, your progress largely depends on you and the effort you are willing to put into accomplishing your goals.

Your counselor will do everything he/she can to provide you with 100% confidentiality. However, if cordless phones, cell phones, and internet transmissions are used, though the risk is very small, it is not possible to guarantee 100% confidentiality. Sessions are not allowed to be recorded.
