Heavenly Father, Help build in me a winning and positive attitude about myself and my life. Coach me in the ways of Your Lion nature and give me a firm foundation in all the victory that You have already accomplished in my life. Help me to take charge of my territory and to bring Your rule and reign there.

Use the following questions to help you incorporate these truths into your life personally.

Personal Application Activity

Stand up and practice atmosphere control for yourself. How did you do? Could you feel your atmosphere? Were you able to open and close it?

Here is a summary of how to do it: Stand up. Put your hands out like you are worshipping with the palms up and open. See if you can feel the edges of the electrical field around you. This is the open position. Say “open”. Imagine an 8 foot circle around you. Now say “close” and clench your hands to be in a closed position and see the circle around you being covered in something like venetian blinds and closing off to everything. Do it several times, open and close, and stop to see if you can feel the difference.

What are some situations when we would want to close our atmosphere? Use this when you have to be around people who are being negative so that their negativity can’t get into you. Or when we are out in public.
Do Communion at your house on a regular basis to increase the heavenly atmosphere in your home and for your family.

What are some aspects of the Lion face of God? What does it complement?

The Lion, in contrast to the Ox is about taking over territory, bringing the government of God. It lets God rule and reign as He wanted to do in Israel in the Old Testament. He wants to take over the territory of our lives internally and then externally in our realms of influence like He has in using Heidi Baker in Mozambique. She and her husband have started over 15,000 churches in a Muslim country and care for over 10,000 orphans daily. Being able to speak forth and have things created, changed and destroyed by our spoken word. It is the power side of the equation like the Eagle.

Some people think being a Christian is about always being a loser. We are meant to have Lion moments as well as Ox moments. Give an example of Jesus being the Lion.

Example: Jesus didn’t just do the Ox, but also the Lion, especially where He marched into hell and took back the keys of death from Satan. Or when He confronted the Pharisees.

Describe a “Lion” attitude towards life and prevailing.

Our attitude as we look out at life: My powerful parents are with me and they go with me everywhere I go. I have a nice big house. Everyone who comes in my yard has to be nice to me. I expect cooperation and courtesy both there and everywhere I go. The earth and the fullness thereof are the Lords. He owns everything and so you can reasonably lay claim to anything. The person with the most authority gets to make the rules. An example of positional authority is the bus driver over his bus, or a taxi driver over his cab, or a Georgia policeman in Ga. A pastor may have positional authority over his church but not always have spiritual authority. Spiritual authority may come from one’s connection with God such as praying well. Ordination should invest you with it and usually does but it isn’t a guarantee. If you don’t use it, you lose it.

What is “Atmosphere control”? Why is it important?

Everyone has an electrical field around them. Your body doesn’t end with your skin. The point of this exercise is to learn to control the electrical field around you. You want to control what comes in and what goes out. Otherwise you can be overwhelmed by impressions around you if you don’t learn to control your atmosphere.

What are some of the results of allowing people easy access to you and your atmosphere?

When you don’t have boundaries on your energy then when certain people come around you that make you feel tired, the energy goes to the lowest point. So they are invading your energy system. You can learn to do more with your atmosphere and even to the point of repelling people from stealing your energy, not let others steal your thoughts, by invading you. Poor atmosphere control makes more demonic access to your thoughts and less ability to be your own person. You don’t want to be a consequence of the thoughts and feelings of others.

What role do your expectations as to how you are going to be treated and your deepest held beliefs play in the type of atmosphere around you? What role does belonging to Jesus have in this?

If you believe you will be loved, believe that life will work out well for you that people will cooperate with you, largely they will do that. The reason is because you belong to Jesus. It is because of Him and people want to submit to him. Walking as an ambassador of Christ in this world and to occupy territory for him we occupy by using the authority of Christ to own different pieces of territory for him.

How can using atmosphere control be a part of walking out the Lord’s prayer where we ask for His kingdom to come and His will to be done in earth (us and our territory) as it is in heaven?

Practicing atmosphere control helps to assert the power of the Holy Spirit that we carry inside on all those people we meet and all those circumstances we encounter every day. It helps to advance God’s kingdom all around us.

Describe Spiritual Barbwire.

The spiritual barbwire is an offensive weapon that avoids charismatic witchcraft (inappropriate use of our soul power) and works well. It invokes Bible positives in a very powerful way. We make positive declarations of what is allowed and proper for our “territory”. RK saw actual barbwire in the spiritual realm as he prayed such things. NO negatives, just Biblical values that are positive.

What do we have to be careful for when we do spiritual barbwire?

Make sure you can live with your prayers. In my world people speak kindly of others. Do not do gossip or you will get cut on it yourself.

Is the purpose of barbwire to hurt people or to help them and bring divine order to a situation?

Why do you put barbwire around cattle? Not to hurt them but to contain them. It helps love and order to happen. It rests on the Lord as the owner of the world. So you have a strong sense of who you are and the sense of “mine”. When I go to a restaurant it is my restaurant now. You won’t misuse this if you stick to Biblical positives.

5. Why is it easier to deal with demons than witchcraft?

You can’t cast out witchcraft. A person has right to be evil. If they attack you with witchcraft, you have a right to defend yourself. Don’t engage in witchcraft unless they are coming after you. How do you know the difference? It feels different. Learn by practice.

Demonic evil is different than human evil. Demons are easier to get rid of it since they don’t have a right to be here. Be sure to have people repent for cooperating with demons as that takes their legal right away to be in that person’s life. This is a very safe and helpful way to pray even if it is not clear how the person has cooperated with the demons.

6. List some other ways to defend yourself in this war?

Do communion straight out of the Bible how Jesus did.

Say protections prayers: Psalm 91, Ephesians 6, and Saint Patrick’s Breastplate (on website)

St. Patrick’s Breastplate is powerful against witchcraft and human evil. He successfully defeated the Druids’ black magic and witchcraft.

The energy that allows you to be a Warrior exists now. You can learn from this talk and be encouraged by the real Jesus–who is a warrior. If you don’t have it, ask for it, if you already have it, ask for more. Ask Jesus where he wants you to stand in the line.

The second approval can happen to you. And if it does, you will be changed and empowered and there will be more of a natural flow of authority and power where you will take your position of warrior, father, or mother who gives life to others and can influence others to be like you. You can ask for this. The Father’s approval needs to be passed on to us.

Take a circumstance in your life that is a challenge or difficult. Start asking the Lord Jesus to stand in front of you and to help you take your rightful place behind Him in this battle. Let His presence and power lead you to victory in this area as you trust Him at His word.

No, it applies to both sexes. Yes a woman have more authority than a man.

What is the difference between a soldier and a warrior?

We have been soldiers who have put aside some part of our lives to serve Him. A warrior is someone who has been tested through many battles and had many victories. Not just a soldier, they are aggressive, going out to make trouble for the kingdom of darkness. They follow the Commander’s wishes. Soldiers and others want to line up behind them to follow.

Practice the Graham Cooke exercise for yourself. Describe how your experience felt.

Exercise from Graham Cooke: Stand up. Express with your heart and your face you are surrounded by other warriors and you are surely going to die. Decide you are going to sell your lives dearly. Summon the resolve necessary to do that. Let that resolve show in your face.

Suddenly you hear a chuckle behind you. It is Jesus and that changes the whole complexion of the situation. Now you can determine how many of the enemy you are going to kill.

Can we get roughed up in the battle? What attitude should we have about that?

Yes, we can get roughed up in battle, but victory is assured. We have already won. The devil and company will be defeated. NO matter how bitter the battle, we win. A soldier is not surprised if they get hurt or inconvenienced.

What does the enemy try to con us into believing?

The enemy is always trying to con us into believing we are weak and have lost.

The Lion and the Lamb have to lie down together in us. How does that happen and how can moments of seeming defeat be an opportunity for promotion?

Part of it is that the Lion of Christ inhabits the Lamb of our vulnerability and sacrifice in our lives. When your challenging moment comes, you can choose to face it and win or you can choose to walk away and lose. It is a day where you have a unique opportunity to move forward. A warrior is able to turn a battle around to a time of promotion.

What was the “second approval” in the Hebrew tradition? How did Jesus receive it and what were its implications?

A mark of change, the ritual of the “second approval” was given in the time of Jesus. The second approval was given between the ages of 25 and 30. In a Christian sense this happens to both male and female. The son would have already been in business for some time, have kids and a wife. He has already proven himself through a series of battles that he was trust worthy. The father would go out in public with a scroll and said: “This is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased.” This gave his son power of attorney over all his father’s affairs. He has all of dad’s assets and his word became his father’s word. The Holy Spirit did that for Jesus. He gave Jesus power of attorney to broker a deal: the salvation of all mankind.

When called by God. A mature warrior will not go into a battle because it looks good but not called by God–it will lead people into danger. If God didn’t send you, you can get beat up pretty badly. Captain has to have called you into the spiritual battle before you go into it. Learn to stay where God has given you authority.

Deliverance Prayer: Lord Jesus, Bind together every demon that is hurting me (or this person). Bind them together, appoint a new order and authority. Let what happens to the head demon happens to all the rest. And send them to the feet of Christ. In Jesus name.

Now I ask a cleansing over myself and my room. Let any evil residue leave now in Jesus’ name.

Heavenly Father, bless me now with wisdom and love to receive all the help You want me to have in my own life as far as having deliverance. Help me to cooperate with You in this process. And as I grow and change, give me opportunities to help others, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Do you have any areas of your life where you have been oppressed by the enemy?
Is it possible you need some healing from emotional wounding before you have deliverance?
Do not try to do deliverance on others until you have had plenty of practice on yourself. Do not use deliverance as the solution to every problem!
Write out the “Deliverance Prayer” so you can pray that over yourself and others when needed.
Spend some time in the Lord’s presence repenting of any ways you know you have been out of alignment with Him.
Ask the Lord to guide you in whatever next steps you need to take to help yourself be free of any oppression of the enemy in your life.
Seriously consider if you need to get some Christian prayer counseling to help you with the areas of your life where the enemy has reason to oppress you.

Why does having a person repent of cooperating with sin make the deliverance much easier?

It gets rid of the ground or reason for the demon to be there.

What is the difference between binding a demon and casting it out?

Binding it just simply means you are making it quiet and inactive. In order to cast out a demon the person whom it is afflicting must be willing to repent and stop cooperating with its reason for being there. Casting a demon out sends it to the feet of Christ out of the person’s life and away from causing trouble on the earth forever.

The ABCs of Salvation

You can use this approach with children, who are acquainted with the ABCs that they have learned at school. You may be surprised to know that the same order of presentation can be used effectively when witnessing to adults as well.

A – ADMIT that he is a sinner in need of salvation. Show him that he is guilty of sin. Romans 3:23. He deserves to die. Romans 6:23. One day he will be judged by the Lord. Hebrews 9:27. He cannot save himself by good works. Titus 3:5. (Here you put your memory verses to work.)

B – BELIEVE the facts of the gospel. The Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died for our sins on the cross, and He rose again from the dead. He is the Savior of those who believe in Him. Romans 5:8; John 3:16, 36.

C – CALL upon the Lord. Ask Jesus to come into his heart. Psalm 145:18; Romans 10:13.

Once you have learned the ABCs use them in sharing the gospel of Christ.

The Three Rs of Salvation

Students are familiar with the 3 Rs of education: reading, writing, and ‘rithmetic. You might use the 3 Rs in your witness for the Lord.

R – RECOGNITION of sin and its consequences. Use the same Scriptures as A in the ABCs.

R – REPENTANCE of sin. This means that we acknowledge our sin, and turn to the Lord. Acts 17:30 is a good verse to use here.

R – RECEIVE the Lord Jesus as Savior by faith. John 1:11, 12. Believing is receiving.

I don’t want my relationship with you to be like that. My soul longs for passion, freedom and life. I don’t want to abandon the deepest desires of my heart. I don’t want to be ruled by the demands and desires of other people or live out of well-meaning but not God pleasing dramas. Please keep me from that.

Give me a vision for my life the whole way through. What am I doing? How am I contributing to the Kingdom purposes? Lord, show me if I have a job I am not doing? Help me to wake up!”

“Lord, if I am doing what you want, then I will be energized. Help me to discover that it is truly fun doing Your will and not fun doing other people’s will or my own interpretation of Your will. Help me to truly come alive and live from my heart.”

The Journey of Desire: Searching for the Life We Always Dreamed of

Sometimes it seems we just can’t get what we want. Circumstances thwart our best-laid plans. We struggle to live a heartfelt life. Worst of all, says Eldredge, the modern church mistakenly teaches its people to kill desire (calling it sin) and replace it with duty or obligation (calling it sanctification). As a result, at best Christians tend to live safe, boring lives of resignation. At worst, their desire eventually breaks out in destructive ways such as substance abuse, affairs, and pornography addictions. In “The Journey of Desire,” Eldredge invites readers to rediscover God-given desire and to search again for the life they once dreamed of.

Use the following questions to help you incorporate these truths into your life personally.

Am I in touch at all with my heart’s desire? Am I camped in hopelessness and resignation?

The heart, according to the Bible, is the seat of our desire. We are encouraged to do the will of the Lord from the heart. Page after page in Bible refers to the heart. That is where the widsom of God comes into us and that is where desire comes from and where the most dynamic part of us dwells

Egotism often goes with perfectionism that you can’t make a mistake cause you are so important and grown up. We are all about eight years old. Have you looked at your behavior lately? We are kids—not wise and perfect adults. Kids expect to make mistakes and keep growing. Kids expect to be really different every year. We don’t have to quit our little kid process of growth.

Is our only goal to stop sinning and making mistakes? What is the price to pay for actually accomplishing something and causing something to happen?

We don’t work with people so they can heal and then can stagnate. “You’re healed so now go forth and do nothing.” “Sin no more—just don’t do anything. Try not to mess it up”. That is like a white party dress you can’t move in. At Morning Star they let people practice praying for one another. They warn you that people will make mistakes and it is up to you to sort what is of God and what is not. “If there is no ox in the stable, there won’t be any mess.” If nothing is happening for you, you won’t make mistakes. On the other hand, if you want life, if you want something to happen, you have to risks mistakes.

What happens when God wants you to do something?

If you are connecting with Him who is all the power of the universe in order to do something, it is energizing. God should win out over football and dancing girls and shopping malls if we are experiencing Him as he really is.

The meanings of the word desire in Greek: To have a strong affection or yearning after. To reach or stretch out after a thing. To have zeal or be zealous for. What do we need to do with the different desires in us?

We need to work with the different desires in us to reach out towards God. If you want to get anywhere with God you actually do have to stretch. And He does meet you, it is not like you make something happen independently of Him. Draw nigh to God and He will draw nigh to you. It’s good to try and move yourself towards God. Trying is important. It takes effort.

Describe the difference between having healthy boundaries on the one hand and seeking to extinguish vital parts of ourselves.

The devil condemns us for our sexual desire. Sexual desire needs to have healthy boundaries not to be extinguished or killed off. We don’t want to be repressing it—we need healthy boundaries to contain it. If we are too repressed in sexual desire, it can kill all desire, good and bad. A boundary is only meant to contain and keep desires in bounds, not destroy it or amputate it. The subject of desire can scare us. If we are healthy, we will have strong desires in us if they have never been damaged or repressed. If we repress, or mutilate our healthy sexual desire we will also retard our desire to live and our ability to bond with God and others and to have influence with them.

Competition with others is trying to find a place for yourself when you already have one. It is hard to love someone you are even in subtle competition with. What will happen if we give up competing and learn to love and be loved?

We have an innate desire to be valued, desired and found fascinating. What happens when we do not get this directly from God?

Why do people join groups? What is the problem with finding our needs met by being part of a group? (Nancy and I have both been part of groups that have been very important to us. Some groups are very healthy and serve the purposes of Christ. Some groups are toxic. Probably, worst of all, some groups are luke warm and waste your time while giving you an impression that you are receiving something or growing. You need to judge your involvement in each group by asking yourself, “Why am I here?” and looking at the fruit in your life and in others and be willing to ask that question ever so often.)

What is the end goal of “group think” rather than growth and revelation?

What happens when people feel that what they do doesn’t really impact reality?

Jesus didn’t say to go forth and make forts and have groups and go find more people to keep in your groups. Too often the point is to get people to come and stay together in the group as an end in itself. Why are people so attracted to joining groups?

Our agreement with pretend makes us unable to question and adjust. Group think makes it a crime not to agree with the group. We can get on with the joyful business of living and becoming like Christ if we could stop suspending our belief. The bible points us to doing things in reality. It talks about doing real things in real life. Such as:

Evangelism
Healing the sick
Casting out demons
Touching real people with our lives in a real way

Go before God and ask Him to help you to begin communing with Him in a way that will give you the inspiration and energy to do real things that have a real impact in the world. If you ask Him, He will certainly give Himself to you and help you to grow in being like Christ.
Go over the way to treat Scripture properly below and ask God to show you where you have believed any lies that He is disappointed with you.

Take full weight of Scripture and what it says. Don’t just take one scripture in isolation and do a sermon on it. “God is not the author of confusion.”

The object of everlasting life is to know and to be known.

The three areas of God’s activity are wisdom, power and desire and they equal mind, will and emotion. Often we study His wisdom and power to the neglect of His desire and emotion and end up starved and powerless, and empty.
It is not so much about what He did but why He did it.
The “why” of God is behind the “what” of God.
We will overcome by the way that He loves us.
If we are going to live to be more than a million then how old are we when we are one hundred.
Life that is lived well is a constant growth and change into the image of Christ.
There is no arriving only becoming.
There is rest in change.
The secret of who we are is locked up in the heart of another.
If we touch the fiery affection in God’s heart it will awaken and enable us to be like the One who loves us.
We need to feed daily on the pleasure and the joy the father takes in us.
If we allow ourselves to live fascinated by God’s fiery affection then we will be energized to overcome and to win.
